Meet Our Team

Dr. Peter Hopp is a vitreo-retinal surgeon who took his Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Capetown. From there he entered private practice of general ophthalmology in Saskatchewan.
Since 1992 he has been practicing in Kamloops, BC.
In 1997 he went to Vancouver and took training to specialize in vitreo-retinal surgery.
He performs many retinal procedures every month. Including: Argon laser treatments for diabetic retinopathy, branch retinal vein occlusions, clinically significant macular edema, central serous retinopathy, lattice degeneration, macular edema and retinal tears.
He also repairs retinal detachments, vitreous hemorrhages, dropped nucleuses, macular holes and other more serious retinal problems in the operating room at Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops.

Fran Heichert joined our team in May 2009 as a temporary maternity coverage position.  We found her to be a valuable member of our team as a ophthalmic technician that we kept her on permanently.  Fran is one of the technicians that will perform your pretesting prior to your exam with the doctor.
